April Investor Meeting Recap

The Golden Triangle Angel Network (GTAN) congregated for our monthly Investor Meeting on April 17th. GTAN holds its Investment Meetings ten times per year, from September to June. Typically, three companies pitch at each meeting. Each company is given 12 minutes to present and then 12 minutes to answer questions. GTAN’s members can be expected to challenge the soundness of the presenting company’s ideas, product plans, and business approach. Once the Q&A is finished, the company leaves the room so the members can consider, in private, the investment opportunity each company provides.
GTAN members and guests had the privilege of seeing a total of four pitches at this particular meeting including Plurilock Cybersecurity, Backyard Media, Relogix and Quicksilk. Read more about each company below:
Ian Patterson is CEO of Plurilock Cybersecurity, a cybersecurity firm that protects digital identity in the workplace. Plurilock detects data breaches within minutes and resolves them in seconds. They offer preventative, instantaneous and continuous solutions for endpoint security and visibility.
Steve Hulford presented INSH, a product of Backyard Media. Backyard Media paves the way to the future of media by combining the agility and efficiency of a scalable software company with a transactional business model and slick workflow. With 2,400,000 followers and nearly a billion video views, INSH shares short-form video on the world’s most interesting topics.
Andrew Millar is CEO of Relogix, which provides workplace performance data for commercial real estate. Relogix’s hybrid SaaS product quickly and cost-effectively measures workplace performance such as office occupancy and employee engagement. Their insights help customers justify new projects, decrease costs and effectively use their workspace.
Gary Brownrigg was last to pitch, presenting his company Quicksilk – which offers companies the ability to quickly and easily create websites without sacrificing security. Quicksilk prides itself on being a secure enterprise SaaS content management system platform.
