As we enter a new and exciting year, our Angels can expect more great ideas to come to the table. On January 21st, GTAN members, entrepreneurs and special guests, including students and professors from the University of Waterloo’s School of Accounting and Finance and The Lazaridis School of Business and Economics, gathered at Bingemans for the first Investor Meeting of 2020.
The first pitch of the evening came from Cheetah Networks. Cheetah Networks allows network operators to capitalize on IoT opportunities and increase service delivery through LTE and 5G networks. Cheetah Networks provides market leading IoT connectivity assurance solutions for Service Provider customer – perfect for fleet management, asset tracking, remote healthcare and automated vehicles.
The second pitch of the evening came from Nanophyll. Nanophyll has developed
and is marketing hydrophobic anti-stick nanocoatings. Their coatings are environmentally friendly, simple to apply and scalable for industrial adoption and treated materials have easy-clean, anti-graffiti and anti-microbial properties. Nanophyll
coatings also prevent fouling, corrosion and ice buildup, perfect for the construction industry!
The final pitch of the evening came from Trajekt Sports. Trajekt Sports
is building a baseball pitching robot that can replicate any pitch thrown in an MLB game, vastly improving batter performance. This technology will offer MLB teams (and Angels) significant returns on their investment as teams will have the
opportunity to buy multiple robots, train multiple batters, increasing their winning potential.
